The Veranda House, an iconic hotel on Nantucket, Massachusetts, will reopen on April 1 after a massive renovation. In 2022, the hotel caught fire, causing $12 million in damage, and the owners were forced to demolish what was left of the property.

Sited just blocks from the harbor on the edge of Nantucket's historic district, the Veranda House is one of the most iconic hotels in the popular New England resort town. Built in 1684 as a private residence, the property is known for its distinct federal-style façade and large wraparound veranda.
